January’s Best Sellers

Well January came and went and there is still no Hawaii trip on the horizon. I’m currently typing this blog post while this is what I’m seeing out of my window:

Is it beautiful? Yes. But, y’all, there has been snow on the ground since SEPTEMBER. September, dammit. That is five months of snow on the ground and we still have another 2-3 more months of it. I am ready. Ready to get the hell out of town, ready for sun, ready for warmth, ready to wear shoes that show my cute pedicure. UGHHHH.

I did get out in January for a 3 day weekend. One of my besties and I went to LA and we ate and shopped and relaxed without kids. It was glorious. But it was too short and definitely not warm enough.

I love Alaska. I really do and I believe this page shows my love, but it’s that time of year when a lot of us (not all of us) are ready for a change of season or scenery. Getting out and skiing just isn’t cutting it for me. It’s fun, but I am ready for this snow to be gone. If you are not in Alaska and you’re reading this, say a prayer for all of us in the 907. Pray that the next few months fly by. Pray that we survive February and March. Pray that there are no more cold snaps. And pray for snow days. Kids and teachers LIVE for snow days.

Hopefully next month’s recap won’t be such a downer. :) Happy rest of February, friends. And hang in there, Alaska babes!

XO, Lesli
