“It was like a visit with my mom.”

I turned a sweet friend on to the amazingness of Anna Maus, or Miss Anna, how I like to call her. My girlfriend called me in tears - the good ones, not the bad tears!- after her first wax appointment with Miss Anna. “It was like a visit with my mom.” You see, my girlfriend’s mom passed away a few years ago and when she said that, her words hit me like a tidal wave. She was right. I felt it, too. A visit to Miss Anna is like a visit to my mama, also.

As embarrassing as it is to admit, I’ve had a few too many women in Anchorage look at my hoo-ha (and I say this in the most NONsexual way, too). I’ve seen a number of aestheticians in Anchorage for my waxing but just as it is when you’ve found a good hair stylist or nail tech, it’s the same when you’ve found a good waxist (is that even what you call them?).

But I’ve found her, y’all. I’ve hit the Brazilian Waxpot (I mean, jackpot!). I hit gold with Miss Anna. She’s sweet. She’s gentle. She’s kind. And she knows her stuff.
