My San Antonio Escape - Style, Convention, and a Welcome Break from Alaska's Chill
Over Valentine’s weekend, I traded in Alaska’s winter snow and ice for a change of pace in San Antonio, Texas. The weather was definitely a mood—a mix of cloudy skies, gusty winds, rain, and temperatures in the mid-40s—but I loved every minute of it!
Wednesday: The Ultimate Travel Day
After a long day of travel, I needed an outfit that was both cozy and effortlessly chic. I stuck to my go‑to essentials that kept me comfortable from boarding to touchdown. You can see how I styled my travel look here:
Thursday: Convention Day Chic
The Texas Music Educators Convention kicked off on Thursday, and I knew it was time to step it up. I wanted an outfit that said, “I’m here to learn, network, and look cute doing it!” Comfort was still key, so I planned my look around my favorite comfortable shoes—my Adidas and Converse. Check out my convention day style:
Friday: Another Day, Another Look
Friday brought more sessions and plenty of opportunities to mix style with practicality. I kept the vibe fresh and fun, ensuring my outfit was perfect for a full day of engaging with fellow educators. See how I did it:
Saturday: Family Lunch & Homebound Comfort
On Saturday, I met up with my mom and family for a relaxed lunch. I wanted to be presentable and polished for our meal together, yet still comfortable enough for the long journey back to Anchorage. I even surprised Brant and myself by packing the entire trip in a carry-on! Have a look at my Saturday ensemble:
In San Antonio, I embraced a week of unpredictable weather—cloudy, windy, rainy, and in the mid-40s—with outfits crafted for both comfort and impact. Relying on my trusty Adidas and Converse, I built each look to keep me confident and chic. This trip was a refreshing break from Alaska's snow and ice, and a reminder that style can thrive, no matter the forecast.
