Dirty Skillet // Hope, Alaska
Right on the property of the Bear Creek Lodge, you’ll find the Dirty Skillet- a hidden gem you’ll think about so often that you’ll want to make the two-hour trek out from Anchorage to Hope just for dinner. Regardless of what season you visit, you’ll find good beer, delicious food, and friendly staff that make the beautiful drive south worth it. With live music on the weekends in the summer, it is a must do. Call ahead or book online for reservations and be sure to follow them on Instagram or check here to stay up to date on their latest menu items. If you get a chance to meet Jeannine, the beautiful owner of the establishment, tell her Far North Fashion sent you.
The Food
Beer, burgers and balls- delicious rice balls, that is! The food here is to die for. My kids enjoy the mac and cheese and mini corndogs and we enjoy everything else. I mean, look at this deliciousness!
The Staff
You know they’re doing something right when you see the same friendly faces running the place three years in a row. Always greeting you with a smile, the staff at the Dirty Skillet are just as warm as a fireplace in a cabin on a snowy, cold or windy, summer Alaskan day.
The Fun
Night or day, winter or summer, date night or family night out the Dirty Skillet hits the spot. I’m not going to say anymore; I’m just going to let the pictures do the talking.
